1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Sakinah application ("the App"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The Service

Sakinah provides Islamic tools including prayer times, Quran access, Qibla direction, and related spiritual features. The core features are free. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice where possible.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

• Sakinah Plus is a paid subscription available monthly ($2.99) or annually ($19.99).
• A free 7-day trial is available for new subscribers. You will not be charged until the trial ends.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• All payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not store your payment information.
• Refunds are governed by your platform's refund policy (Google Play or Apple).
• All core features remain available without a subscription.

4. Intellectual Property

All Sakinah original content — including the app design, code, graphics, and branding — is owned by Sakinah and protected by copyright law. Quranic text is used in accordance with open licensing for non-commercial Islamic distribution. Translations are licensed from their respective publishers and may not be redistributed.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service's infrastructure or servers
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense any part of the service without written authorization
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the app

6. Accuracy of Religious Content

While we strive for the highest accuracy in all religious content, prayer times are calculated estimates based on your selected calculation method and may vary from local mosque announcements. We recommend verifying with your local authority for official times. Quranic text is verified against Uthmani script; any discrepancy should be reported to us immediately.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Sakinah is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sakinah shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
